8 Course Lute
This lute is based on the Venere 1592 in Bacelona museum. It has a string length of 58.4cm and is tuned to G (A=440Hz).
The back is made of 25 ribs of heart and sapYew with Ebony lines. The soundboard is of European spruce with Snakewood half-edging and Snakewood heart. The neck and pegbox are veneered with Ebony and Snakewood strips with Holly lines. The fingerboard is of Laburnum with Snakewood edgings and points. The bridge is of stained Plum with Snakewood feet.
