Renaissance Guitar This instrument has been designed from the four-course guitar illustrated in Mersenne, Harmonie Universelle (Paris 1636) but copied from the Phalese Guitar Book 1570. It has been made with a String Length of 54cm (nominal A, A@440 Hz) The soundboard is of European Spruce. The back from 5 ribs of Cypress and the sides of Walnut. The neck is of Flammed Mapled and the pegbox has a carved Lion's head.
